Thanks for sharing your experiences - this is great advice. I found the most value in Step 5 and agree with your use of ‘calculated risks’

Free From Broke: I do not participate in DRIPs. Each month the dividends accumulate as cash reserves and I use my asset allocation model to determine how they are deployed.

Thank you for stopping by!

Best Wishes,
Dividends4Life

Jake: You can never start too early! Saban is going to do well here. He is the coach I wanted during the search. Ironically, I have gleaned great investing inspiration in his book, "How Good Do You Want To Be?" We are both process oriented, so I can really relate to him.

Best Wishes,
Dividends4Life

Great lessons. I agree totally. I also felt dividends were for the old folks. Yet here I sit at 35 just wishing I had started rolling money into dividend stocks earlier.

Also, I see you are a Bama fan. I am a huge UGA fan and season ticket holder, even though I live in Gainesville, FL and I graduated from UF. Long story, but basically I attended UGA first and it helped that I grew up a UGA fan.

I'm glad Bama seems to have finally found a good coach. I am sure Saban will be able to turn the ship around.

-Jake (The Dividend Investing Blog)
