Alan: I currently track 198 companies. Once a week I freshen my Dashboard and look over the companies I hold. If the companies condition becomes too bad and i have a large position in it, I will sell off a portion. Also, I limit the amount I will hold in any single company to 5%.

Best Wishes,
D4L

D4L, Once positions have been taken and the dividend flow starts, I assume the goal is to simply sit back and watch those dividends grow over the years. The one thing that could upset this plan is if some of the companies became impaired or even bankrupt over the long run. What methodology do you employ to be confident that your holdings are still companies that you want to hold?

How do you determine a stock's beta? Are there websites that provide that info?
